Sweat Proof... errr Not Really

Finally! A good night at the gym tonight - managed to put in 100 minutes of elliptical and sweat like there is no tomorrow. I feel fantastic and ready for a little cardio break - but, no can do until the Toronto trip this Friday. Really, only two more days of cardio before I have a 3-day break. For tomorrow and Thursday, I plan to do 1 hour of cardio each day.

Don't you just hate it when you are at the gym and there are skinny (like 90 lbs) girls running for hours on the treadmill in front of you in cute little outfits and no sweat on them at all? Man, I get so jealous, first, because I am not skinny, second, because I can't "run" on the treadmill, thirdly, because I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on cute workout attire (seriously, tonight I wore my Nike Grade 9 PE shirt (1999)) and lastly, because I sweat like a mother when I work out. Not kidding- seriously, check it out:

In food news, I only went over my daily points allowance by 2 points today. I feel like I have to really focus on food right now as last week was a bit out of control and I really want to see a loss on that scale next week when I weigh in. About two years ago when I lost about 40 lbs, I stopped trying at about the same weight I am now. I am DETERMINED to not make the same mistake I did last time and go back to being unhealthy. I want to get into the 180's so badly, and I know my weakness: food portions. So, Day 1 of portion control: Check!

  1. I don't feel like I was actually working out unless I got all sweaty and gross. Seriously. If I am not heading to the change room with that "OMG I need to take a shower *now*" feeling, I feel like a wimp. And it's a particular source of pride if I'm stretching or finishing my workout and realize I managed to outlast my deodorant (*sniff* *sniff* What is that...whoa! That's me... time to stretch it out and grab a shower... and I wear strong deodorant - like, clinical strength.)

So take pride in your sweat! Make one of your rewards a really cute gym outfit! Climalite is a nice material to work out in.

  3. Oh, I feel you. I am a sweaty, sweaty lady. But someday I want to be one of those skinny girls running forever in a super cute little outfit - a sweat-wicking one.
