Bran Buds = Fail

So, as I mentioned in yesterdays post, I ate the much talked about bran buds for breakfast with some mocha yogurt I had left in the fridge this morning while getting ready for my Monday... and it was SO DISGUSTING that I ACTUALLY PUKED.

I had one bite of it and immediately gagged and then rushed to the washroom to throw-up, so that was a total fail. I think I'll wait a little while before experimenting with these "bran" cereals again (which won't be anytime soon).

It even looks gross (why, oh why did I eat it!):

Lesson learned - Bran cereal is not for me!

On a better note, this ridiculous activity goal I have set for myself this month has really been pushing me to go the extra mile (literally). Today, on my lunch break I went for a brisk 45 minute walk, which was lovely because it got me out of the office, and even better since traffic on the highway made my commute home 3 hours long! Which means I don't have time to go to the gym tonight (just not enough hours in the day)! So I'm happy that I got some activity in. I find that I am always looking for little ways throughout the day to get more cardio in - which is awesome because it is helping me develop some healthy activity habits - loving it!

Managed to stay mostly on plan today (only over by 0.5 of a point) yippie. Leaving you with an image of what I ate for dinner (I am in love with rice-less stir-fry's right now). ALSO, this is the best rice-less stir-fry I have had in a long, long time because I added two wedges of laughing cow cheese slices to the sauce (2 laughing cow cheese slices and 10 teaspoons of Nando's peri-peri sauce - so good they named it twice). This sauce is almost like an alfreado sauce (but better because it doesn't give me a stomach ache) so creamy and delicious:

Sooooo delicious!

  1. Ha ha nice try on the Bran!

Honestly the Bran Buds are better, I still have no idea what you bought but they are NOT BRAN BUDS. The key is too SPRINKLE them on food like a couple table spoons in yogurt, not half the box like in your picture above LOLZERS!!!

Your stir-fry looks delish!! I'm sorry to hear you got stuck in that aweful traffic we had yesterday (I did too and got home a little after 6PM) that totally sucks!

  2. I know - it was aweful - I left work at 3:30 and got home just after 6:30pm! It would have been faster if I walked - and imagine all those activity points I would have gotten!
