As promised, I have nothing exciting going on this weekend. Thus, here I am on Saturday night: just got back from a 2 hour workout at the gym - which puts my cardio monthly goal at 30/40 cardio hours. I really thought I would be able to do 40 hours of cardio this month, guess the Toronto trip and all my "rest" days set me back a bit. That's not really the point though. I made this goal for myself so that I could find more and new ways of moving. In this sense, my goal was successful. I am now walking on my lunch hours at work, getting off the bus a few blocks from my stop, taking the stairs and, well... you get the picture.
Other exciting news: I had to go out and buy some smaller-sized pants today. Luckily I found a really great sale and picked up some dress pants in a size 12 and size 10! I'm going to be spending the rest of the night hemming my pants as I am a short little thing and stores don't make pants for us short folk (well - cheap pants at least). I am thrilled to be a size 12, but am even more excited to be approaching a size 10!!!! Last time I was a size 10 was when I was 19 and in college (before the discovery of the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's ($1.39)).
The other day I went through the pile of jeans in the back of my closet. One pair fit me - but looked stupid (I hate skinny jeans), so I am going to huck them. There was also a pile of size 30 jeans that I can now get up and into - but the zipper wont go up. I'll give it anther 10 lbs gone and I bet they will fit (hoo-ray - I have no jeans at this current size!). I am really looking forward to being able to zip them suckers up!
Off to hem I go...
I have been doing that at a lot lately - trying on old clothes that used to fit! It's quite addictive isn't it! And so good when they fit or nearly fit! Keep up the good work!!
