Man oh man, I am getting pretty tired of being in the 19X lb range. I have literally been working my butt off to get into the 180s for the past month! I would say that I have definitely plateaued - not happy about it.
Tonight, out of curiousity sake, I jumped on the scale and found the number 193 looking back up at me. Pretty angry over this. Seriously, why is this taking so long - I know everyone will say, but Lisa - sometimes the scale does not reflect everything, take measurements, look at your body.... yada yada yada. I know, I know - I am just dying to be in the 180s and am grumpy over it - using my blog as a venting space.
Perhaps what is stalling my weight loss is the fact that I have not been as scheduled with my activity and eating as I have been in the past. Dont get me wrong, I still track, stay within my points and exercise like a mother - this new unscheduled thing is just part of my relatively new desire to start being more liberal, flexible and free with my time. *sigh* perhaps routines are the best - maybe I should go back to the schedule of working out at the gym from 9 - 10 pm and eating the same thing (more or less) everyday.
Just a little discouraged from my friend the scale is all - just want that middle number to budge already!
*End of Rant*
Lisa - I notice you do a ton of cario - try adding some resistance training...it doesn't add up much points but it will make a difference, especially on your measurements. I weigh the same I did about two years ago but am wearing a size smaller in all my clothes. Try it! It might be enough to get you off the platea :)
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, plateaus are the worst! It was totally discouraging when I was a member previously.
ReplyDeleteTry your idea of doing a routine for a week and see how it goes. Usually you just need something different to get your body back on track. Keep us posted!
Oh, I feel you. Why won't the scale just MOVE?!
ReplyDeleteI echo Erin's suggestion of resistance training. I feel much 'tighter' everywhere, despite not losing as much in the past two weeks as I'd like.
Lisa, It will pay off...eventually. Just keep it up and over time, you will see a drop again. This is the toughest part, hitting plateaus. I think its like trying to get pregnant, try to forget about it and let it happen :)
