YOGA!!!

Yoga is my most favourite activity! Today I finally took the leap and did my first yoga class in about one and a half years! It was like riding a bike and let me tell you I feel sooo fantastic! Yoga always makes me feel awesome (even better than I feel after a cardio workout at the gym). It really is a workout for the mind, spirit and body.

Like yoga, today I spent a lot of time thinking about how much easier life is with 50 less pounds on my body. Even as I was walking home from work, with the sun beating on me and my book bag swung across my shoulder, lugging my fat arse up the hill, I was struggling less to just move! Everyday life is no longer tiresome as I found it to always be at 233 lbs!

Friends, making the commitment to lose weight and sticking to it is SO WORTH IT! Life is better when you are healthy - there are less obstacles and things I love doing, such as yoga, are once again a possibility for me. I can bend again!

  1. I totally know what you mean. Living is just so much easier on a day to day basis now. So happy that you can get back into yoga now :)

  2. I totally agree. Even just getting from point A to point B is so much easier!

    I am looking forward to it getting much easier in the future, too. And maybe getting back into a yoga class - when there's less of me to get in the way :)

  3. I concur! Life is much easier 50 lbs lighter. You can do so many things now that you probably took for granted like tying your shoe without getting winded. I used to ask my kids to tie my shoe.

    Hmmm...I would love to try yoga.
