A Couple Days of Laziness!

I didn't blog yesterday and what's worse - I haven't bee to the gym (or done any mode of exercise for that matter) for the past 4 days! This is very unlike me. I've been doing my best to stay on plan food-wise, but with birthday parties come cake and with dinning out at fancy restaurants comes high point dinners... this week has not been my best. I have been eating freezies like they are going out of style - I ate 6 of them for breakfast this morning and had about 5 last night before I went to bed! I am tracking all of this - which is good, but I can do better.

My gym membership expired on the 30th, and I am being cheap in my rationalizing - thinking that the longer I wait the longer my next pass will last me.

It's really odd too because I stepped on my bathroom scale this afternoon (which is always much kinder to me than the gym scale) and the needle landed on 1-8-0. I gasped! This can't be real - i've been eating junk and haven't exercised in days. Tomorrow night we'll see what's really up when I step on the scale at the gym for the official weigh-in!

So here is the plan of attack to get back on track: get my butt in gear RIGHT NOW and go for a long walk, then grab a 6-inch veggie sub from Subway for dinner. That should do it. Then tomorrow - get my new pass at the gym and weigh in for this week!!!

Off for a walk...

  1. This happened to me recently too! My fitness classes were on hold for the Canada day week. I think I took a walk once that WW week, and had lots of Weekly points over and lost 4 pounds!!! Maybe it's system shock, but I don't trust it 2 weeks in a row, so back to the workouts and OP days!

Hope your plan of attack works Lisa!

  2. I think we all have times like this every once in a while. It's hard to change your lifestyle. It can be a lot to handle sometimes. I think breaks are okay and normal every now and then. But only if you don't let it spiral out of control.

Your plan of attack will work...because you know that you have to get back on track right now! That's the real key to long term success in my opinion :)

    Have a great week!

  3. I agree with Amanda - sometimes, we all need a little change to our routines. The key is to keep that break small, or find something else equally healthy/active/good for us to substitute.

Did you get back to the gym?
