Just Call Me Anna Kournikova

That's right friends! I've been a regular at the tennis courts lately - let me tell you, tennis is a great workout and has been a great break from my regular gym routine. There are tennis courts right near my house, so I've been dragging a friend along lots and i've been practicing my serves and grunts. I think tennis is, in part, what I should be thanking for the new definition that's been appearing in my arms. Check out my blog post from yesterday and take a look at those before and after photos! I can really see a difference in my arms - no doubt both the tennis and the yoga have played a part in that.

Just want to brag a little here: Today I felt "fit", I mean, I was speed walking up hills and reaching for those tennis balls (and hitting them). I now feel comfortable classifying myself as "athletic" - and it feels good!

Now, if only my body looked like Anna Kournikova's... I'm getting there.... I'm getting there....

  1. Ya, fit means a lot! I may still be really heavy, but I know Im fitter than my skinny friends by the way we work out together. And you are doing so great. Fit and lookin fab! Yay you!

  2. I've always wanted to learn to play tennis, but like so many things, I was afraid to try and make a fool of myself because I'm so fat and out of shape. But you know, maybe I'm at the point now where I could give it a try!

    I have tennis courts in my neighborhood and I would love to play. I really need to get over "feeling fat" and just do it. It would sure beat the treadmill....boooooorrrring!!
