Did Someone Say Binge!

Today started off with great promise.

I got up early to head out to yoga. Once I got to the community centre I was told that the class was cancelled due to the instructor being sick - this right here was when my day started going off the rails.

I then took a quick trip to the grocery store only to come home, get into my pajamas and watch episode, after episode after episode of How I Met Your Mother - Season 4 (very addicting - but those Canadian references are soooo off base!).

I suddenly got into "veg mode" - not good!

So I thought - Ok - I can veg out as long as it is with something healthy right? WRONG.

I made this for dinner: Wok steamed broccoli and Mushrooms with Nando's Peri Peri Sauce:



Totally healthy and yum, but I forgot how broccoli bloats the sh*et out of my stomach. Let's just say, my boyfriend won't sit in the same room as me!

And you would have thought that the eating would stop at dinner right - NO!

I then proceeded to have a subway sandwich, too many servings of Chee Cha puffs, some babybel cheeses, some cereal, potato chips.... and the list goes on and on and on.... I can't even track all the crap I inhaled tonight - all around it was just bad.

Bad habits that every once and a while creep up and bite me in the arse when I am not looking.

I would like to think that had that yoga class not been cancelled this morning, I wouldn't have been de-railed, but the truth is, I could have easily gone to the gym instead (and I didn't). In fact, I don't even know what the inside of the gym looks like anymore :(

FAIL!

Looking forward to a new day tomorrow.

  1. It happens to everyone. You are doing such a great job and you have lost so much. One little slip up doesn't replace all the hard work you've put in. I would love to be in your position right now :-)

  2. Just a blip hun. I had one too today. Was disheartened when after 1 week of being on the new ProPoints plan I had put a quarter of a pound on despite sticking to my daily allowance even resisting a Snickers bar last week. well, today I binged too, had a massive lunch, wine & 2 (yeah 2!) Snickers bars! I feel very guilty now, so have to make sure I restart my running plan tomorrow. Oopsie! We just have to put it behind us and workout like mad women next week! LOL

    Slip ups happen you just gotta jump back on track. I need to take my own advice.
