When Green Tea Attacks

Morning all,

So, I have been doing a little experiment this last month:

I don't have BAD skin, but I don't have great skin either. So, for the last month, I have completely cut coffee out of my diet - which is SUPER hard for me because I wake up at 5am to go to work everyday and the pumpkin spice lattes are out at starbucks now and there is nothing that tastes better in this world than a pumpkin spice latte.

So, i've completely abstained from all things coffee and the result: clear skin!

Unbelievable how much of a difference not drinking coffee can make - I also feel good on the inside - it's a win-win.

So how have I done this you ask? Well - I have replaced my morning coffees with morning green teas. I've learned to love green tea. It's all part of this whole "lifestyle change" thing I've got going on...

Cheers and good morning!

  1. Do you wake up as well? Have you tried other teas? What's your favorite?

also Looking beautiful! Maybe I'll go get a tea instead of an americano!

  2. Thanks!

I have tried other teas - but I only really like green tea.

Sometimes I will have passion tea or orange blossom from Starbucks - but it's mainly green tea - all the time!

  3. This is the one step I am not sure I can ever do! I have been trying to get a green tea every now and then instead of coffee, but I can't seem to give it up!

I also have not bad but not great skin, maybe I should give myself a 30 day challenge and see if there is an improvement?

    Good on you chick!

  4. That's great, Lisa. I don't drink coffee, but I'm sure you're better without it. And green tea is supposed to be so good for you...and your metabolism.

  5. Its amazing to me what foods/drinks affect you skin, etc. Good for you giving up coffee, I bet it was tough! Now if only I could give up Coca-Cola ;)
