Shoot!

Just when I was back and track and doing so well... I had to blow it - today was a total fail in the eating department. I even ate pasta - which I have not had in about 6 months. Now I remember why I stopped eating pasta - it gives me horrible stomach pains.

As I have mentioned in this blog before, life and health balance is something I am looking to develop here, and despite falling of the portion control wagon today, I am confident that I will be able to get myself back to where I need to be tomorow. So, in this sense it really is not falling off the wagon, more like - just a bad eating day.

I managed to get a nice evening walk in with my man - which was lovely and I found myself walking briskly with ease - something I never could have done at 233 pounds. I remember avoiding walking at all costs when I was heavier, simply because I would be short of breath within two or three minutes of activity - now - I am fit and can walk for 4 or 5 hours if I wanted to... it is just nice to have that option - you know.

The big move is coming up next month and I am super excited. The condo I purchased is on the top floor of the building - the corner unit. And I plan to get some serious activity in during the move - BY USING THE STAIRS to carry up all my boxes. That is three flights of stairs with everything I own in my own two hands. Call me crazy - but I am super excited about it, it is going to be one great week - OK well I will use the elevator for the couches, bed and shelves - but all the books and other smaller items I have put in a box I can carry - will be going up the stairs! The move-in weekend is going to be a killer workout!

  3. "life and health balance" Yep. Me, too! One day in pasta land won't ruin that--especially if it fuels our determination to keep aiming for that goal. :) Onward and forward--to health and balance. Deb
