Puttin' things In Perspective

Today, I went and did my weekly grocery shopping trip at Trader Joe's, and came home struggling to carry the heavy bags up into my apartment, no doubt because I had stocked up on some lime and lemon flavoured sparkling water:

When I say I "stocked up" I mean - I got 7 of these bad boys:

I thought my grocery bags weighed a million pounds:

So, I stepped on the scale with all bags in hand.... and with me and the bags, the scale only read 210 lbs!

What!

For real?

Yes.

I can't believe (or even imagine) that I used to carry all that around on my body all the time, plus an additional 20 lbs!

Weigh in tonight yielded 173 lbs again! Sayed the same, and I know exactly why - Saturday night.... this week, I've got to buckle down and do some more exercising.

  1. Isn't it amazing that we carried all of that extra poundage--and wondered why we were tired and achy?!

We're at about the same weight--but MAN you have lost your's lots faster than I did. I've drug this thing on since last September. You were really focused! Me--not so much.

Now, even tho you've hit a dry spot, you're still keeping at it. So am I. We're gonna do this thing!

Wahoo, Decmber 31! Sounds like a good day to reach goal to me. :D
