Walking the Walk

When your fat, lululemon is your best friend. Because regular clothes like jeans, dress pants and nice sweaters fit one day and then the next they are too tight - lulumemon (or any kind of spandex-based clothing for that matter) will almost always fit you - even if you gain 5 or 10 pounds.

Consequently, for as long as I can remember my weekend attire consist of lululemon pants, basic XL t-shirt and a black sweater (because, after all black is slimming). To be honest, I know this spandex looks awful on me as it clings to my body and thunder thighs, and really who am I fooling - up until three months ago I was never on my way to the gym or going for a brisk walk on the weekend.

Well - now all that has changed. I still wear my spandex outfit on the weekends BUT now, I wear them because I am actually on my way to or coming from the gym, or a walk on the beach, or some sort of physical activity.

I, ladies and gentleman, am no longer a fraud - I am an athletic person and therefore it is appropriate for me to wear workout clothing on a regular basis. I am walking the walk and am no longer ashamed:

The best news of all: Results from the weigh-in tonight: 197 lbs! Down 4 pounds from last weeks weigh-in. I am so thrilled and also nervous that I wont make my monthly goal of being 193 lbs by May 31st (with only one weigh in and one week to go)... Guess I'm going to have to be strict this week with both my eating and exercise.

re: lulu's workout gear - I hate seeing an apparent "fit and healthy" girl wearing lulu's then proceed to light up a cigarette. Biggest fakes ever.
