Get the Fack Out of This Funk!

That's right - I'm getting out of this funk i'm in as of right NOW.

I am a person who does well when I have some long-term and short-term goals. As you all know I post monthly short-term goals for my myself every month and work towards achieving them - and I have a long term goal weight to work towards but no long-term fitness goal to work towards other than "being fit and healthy". My long-term fitness goal is too vague and I need to narrow it down, and I did just that.

So, I've created a challenge for myself!

I have mentioned that I want to learn how to run - well - no more procrastinating here - I am going to force myself to learn how to do it now. My goal is to run a 5K (organized run if possible) every month until 2011.

This will give me something to look forward to every month (fitness-wise) and will help me get my mind off the numbers on the scale.

The first 5K i'll be participating in is:

June 27th - Scotiabank 5K (Vancouver)

So very excited - now get get my fat arse on the treadmill!
