To celebrate my Weigh In Victory from my last weigh in, I've taken my own advice and have not rewarded myself with food - but rather with a new book to keep me occupied at the gym.

The book is called "Wicked" and is a story about the Wicked Witch of the West (from the Wizard of Oz). I'm about a 1/5 of the way in and have got to say that I really like it. My only concern is that I won't really be able to read it at the gym while I am bobbing up and down on the elliptical - I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's practical entertainment... Wicked will have to wait until tomorrow though - the Biggest Loser is on tonight. That mean's i'm going to be given'r at the gym tonight. Can't wait!
Good luck with the book - I could never read at the gym - the moving made me loose my spot every 2 seconds, so after an hour I had only read one paragraph...
ReplyDeleteI love books.. but found a huge problem. reading requires actually having to stop everything and read. makes jogging at the same time virtually impossible. so...I get audio books to listen to while I'm jogging, or working out. Don't knock it till you try it. it totally takes you into the story. it's the entertainment without the lines jumping around and holding the page down. (just a thought)
