Something About the 70's

I spent a few minutes this morning reviewing my history. I noticed a pattern.

A few years ago I lost about 40 lbs - namely by not changing my eating pattern and doing a stupid amount of exercising. This lasted about 4 months and I went from 220 lbs to just under 180 lbs.

I hit the 170's and then - I gave up.

Looking though my weigh-in history, I see that I have been in the 170's since the beginning of August! Either my body likes the 170's or there is something mental at work here - some sort of comfort level I reach when I hit the 170's.

I'm convinced that the 170's is a comfort thing for me. I don't feel too fat here, but I also don't feel too skinny.

BOTTOM LINE: the 170's are no longer an acceptable end point for me - I MUST push through this and get into the 160's. This is no longer optional for me - it's a must-do!

Here I am giving the 170's my "you stink and I hate you" face:

As of today, I am back to tracking and will be back to doing some form of activity every day.

I CANNOT GET LAZY with this here and now. I got lazy once before at this weight - and then ballooned out to 233 lbs. That can never happen again.

I have got to stay focused here.

  1. Now you've given 170s the official "you stink and I hate you face" you will now have to reach 160s otherwise you'll have tomatoes thrown at you. Apparently it's the law.

  2. I love that "hate you" face! LOL.

Yes, It's time for the 170's to quit being your official stalker.
It's not nice & plain rude that he's been in your shadow for so long
    Show him the door!

I'm new to your blog & have just spent 3 days reading it from the beginning. You are awesome! You've made such great progress. It's great that you have such avid supportive followers (I never seem to get any comments on my diet blog). You have a great way with words & express yourself so well.
You are an inspiration to me; I'm at 210 pounds (lost 57 so far but am stuck! LOL). I am planning on following in your footsteps.
Just joined weight watchers so..... here I come (ready or not!).
