I finally bit the bullet - I did it - I got off my fat arse and went to the gym. I have been feeling fat lately - no doubt, when I stepped on the scale at the gym it said 174! WHAT! That sent me in to panic mode.
I ended up staying there for 1 hour and 50 minutes - 1 hour attempting to run on the treadmill and 50 minutes on the cross trainer. All in all, I burned about 700 calories and had my heart rate up for most, if not all, of that time. So thats good news.
But the eating, OH the eating has got to improve. I went out earlier this evening and got a bunch of healthy stuff for the next week or so, but I have GOT to STOP SNACKING! The snacking here and there is really killing me and I have got to put an end to it unless I want to see the scale back up in the 180s (which, for the record, I do NOT want)!
I have managed to resist nibbling after the gym tonight - so thats another good news item. Ive really decided and realized that I have to take this one day at a time if I want to get back on track for the long-term. No more thinking about tomorrow and planning ahead. I will simply wake up in the morning and figure out how to eat properly for that single day and what physical activity I am going to fit in there. This pre-planning my weeks and months, it really is not doing me any good - SO! NEW PLAN! One day at a time. Thank goodness today is over! I am pooped!
Great job at the gym.
ReplyDeleteI love to snack so if I have a fruit/veggie with every meal it really helps me with control between meals. And alot of times if I feel like a snack, I will still eat a piece of fruit before I have something else. My hunger seems nonexistent when I really work in the fruit/veggies. I have no idea what you eat so maybe you are already using f/v.
Take care!
Urgh! I snack after the gym way to much. I keep telling myself that my body will burn it off quicker since I have just worked out but no more excuses! Hmmmm. Maybe I will try what the person above said.
