Back to Reality...

I am back home from my Christmas family vacation that was filled with wine, chocolate and very little movement (with the exception of shopping). I sure burned up my credit card. But I am ready now, to get back to the grind, to real life, hard work and to my dedication to my health.

I went to two yoga classes today, and plan to go to yoga everyday until Monday, as well as go to the gym until I go back to work next week. Today in yoga, I did a modified head stand that looked a little something like this:

I can't wait until I can do a real headstand - with no wall- that will be the day.

The good news is that I stepped on the scale today and I am still at 170 lbs - so I didn't gain any weight over the holidays - which is surprising! However, on boxing day I did shop for 12 hours straight... so, perhaps shopping does burn more than just my credit card?

I did a lot of thinking today about the year 2010 - how great it was for me and how I plan to make 2011 as good as this last year. I have done such a wonderful job of setting myself up for success in 2011 - with the new condo, the 60 lb weight loss, doing my Masters... so I really have no choice but to follow through with all this goodness I've prepared for myself.

Like I say, I have got some sweet goals set up for 2011 and will be sharing them here on Dec 31st. PLUS, I plan to literally hit the ground running in 2011 and am registering for a 5K on Jan 1! I think I my be a little nuts! More to come...

  1. I had to look twice at the picture to work out what was going on!!

I must admit the first thing I thought was that you were mad and have had too many christmas sherries!

Thankfully you mentioned yoga so I can understand why you were doing them now! :)

I cannot wait for 2011 to arrive. It's going to be a great year for us all. Lots of success and fun.

  3. I need to get into yoga again. I always did enjoy it when I did it years ago. I hope 2011 is promising too.

It is what we make it I guess.

  4. That's definitely farther than I can get. I think downward dog is the closet to a head stand I get. :) You sure have had a great year, you're an inspiration and fun to read! Happy new year!
