Drinking myself Skinny!

Today was an interesting day. Work these days are stressful. When I got home today, I needed a drink, so had a couple coolers. Don't worry, I tracked them on weight watchers. The thing is, I haven't drank in about a month, so a couple drinks made me a little tipsy. I then proceeded to the gym and really gave'r on the elliptical and treadmill. I think tonight was the hardest I've worked out at the gym this year - I mean I was sweating like i've never sweat before - it was awesome. Thank you California Coolers. I certainly won't make this a habit, but for tonight, it certainly worked in my favour.

The bad news is, that my last pair of work size 18 black pants have bit the dust. There is now officially a large hole in them and I can no longer wear them to work. The good news is that I have more black pants, but they are all size 16, 14, 12.... I am so close to fitting into the 16 pants, but it will be about another week until I can actually do them up. So, being the cheap-o I am, I'm going to be wearing my jeans to work until I can get the size 16 pants on. Oh - such an exciting life I lead!

Being all hyped up at the gym, I attempted to run on the treadmill. Let's just say that I am not there yet (lasted about 30 seconds). I've never been a runner - but would like to be one day. I think once I get down to 200, I'll start training / teaching myself to run and tackle a 5K. My list of things to do once I hit 200 is getting longer and longer...

  1. I totally understand about the tredmill! I used to not even walk past the tredmill but I decided one day I was going to try it out, I only ran for a total of one minute!! Now on the tredmill I walk for 2 minutes then walk for 2 minutes on an incline of 5 and then run for 3 minutes and I repeat that 2 or 3 times. I feel that instead of running for 10 minutes straight and breaking it up is a lot easier. running to a really upbeat song is what gets me through it, I dont even look at the time until I feel like the 3 minutes is up.
Running on the treadmill is so difficult especially for people who are overweight but taking new steps and trying new things is the whole idea of losing weight. I know you can do it just put your mind to it and run your heart out!!!

  3. I just started the treadmill thing and it's so much harder than I thought. I can walk fine, but running is not an option...I am so not coordinated! lol Keep up the good work!
