For those who don't know, back in October 2011 I ran a half-marathon and I did it in 3 hours.
Last Sunday, after a successful jog for the first time in... a long time, I put my running shoes on and went for a jog. I felt so great while I was jogging (I somehow completely forgot about the "runner's high") and the next day - no pain!
So, of course, coming off an excellent jog last weekend, I've decided that I am going to run the half-marathon coming up this October AGAIN - and this time around, i'll be doing it in under 3 hours. At least, that's the goal.
I'm super excited about doing the half-marathon and cannot wait to get back into a regular running training schedule.
This is going to be super fun - i'm so excited!

That's great! I'm running a 10K on Victoria Day weekend. I'd like to run a half marathon next. How long do you feel it takes to train for a half?
ReplyDeleteFor me, because I was only able to run for 30 seconds when I started running, it took 9 months to train. I don't know how long it would take if you're already a runner. This time around, i'm giving myself five months. I think thats good :-)
